Specifications

Shutter curtains
are manufactured using traditional 75mm deep scrolled interlocking lath, the gauge of which is determined by the size of the shutter. Lath are galvanised as standard to BS EN 10142: 1991: SEP02 G. Alternative lath are steel end locked to prevent lateral movement in the guide rails. A bottom rail of heavier gauge material is used to strengthen the curtain assembly and to form part of the drop bar arrangement on manual shutters. CURTAIN FINISH OPTIONS Polyester powder coating to a range of BS or RAL colours.
ROLLER BARRELS
electronically welded (ERW) steel tubes are used, of varying diameter and wall thickness, which is determined to keep the deflection of the barrel within Door and Shutter Manufacturers Association guidelines. Individually calculated counterbalance springs* are inserted into the barrel. The spring anchors and gearing used in Indupart roller shutter doors are all of STEEL construction. Geared hand chain or geared motor doors are driven using a drive chain system** OPERATION OPTIONS Fire shutters are provided to prevent flame spread from one compartment to another, they are NOT for security. If you need to use a fire shutter as a security shutter Indupart recommend electrical operation.

*Electrically operated fire shutters are not sprung

** The pitch of the drive chain is determined by the weight of the door and is calculated using 4-1 safety factor.

GUIDE RAILS
are cold rolled "U" section channels. The channels are assembled on fixing angles of suitable gauge to suit the installation with the end plate being pre-assembled on the guide angle, this helps compensate for uneven fixing surfaces and speeds the installation process up considerably (Flag guide arrangement). A double guide arrangement is used on manual doors to cater for the drop bar. GUIDE RAIL OPTIONS Polyester powder coated finish to a range of BS or RAL colours. (Grey primer standard).
SEALS
all Indupart fire shutters come with a canopy & flame trap fascia system to ensure the maximum flame spread prevention from your door, whether it is 1/2, 1, 2 or 4 hour rated. There are different modes of activation to close the shutter such as: Standard thermal fusible link. Or if you wish the shutter to be linked into a fire alarm: Thermo electrical link, Resetable solenoid systems, Door driven down under power in an alarm situation*. OTHER OPTIONS - as well as the options stated in our specification Indupart can offer a wide range of options: Audio visual warning systems -  these warn the public that the shutter is going to close before a time delay triggers the closure of the door: Control descent devices - which control the rate of fall of the door in auto close situation: And a range of safety & other options.

* To have one of these type of systems you must ensure that there is a protected power feed to the shutter motor.
