Indupart customer, Thoroughbred Industrial Doors of Mildenhall, Suffolk, has fitted six new Scenic glazed sectional doors at King’s Lynn Fire Station.
This is just one in a series of contracts for emergency services in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. “The new EN standard is making the blue light services particularly aware of their health and safety obligations,” explained Thoroughbred’s Adrian
Sheldrick.
Scenic doors are the ideal solution where visibility or natural light is required. Doors can have from two to ten windows per panel, depending on width. There are various options for glazing.
HIGHER
SECURITY
Wired glazing panels are available for higher security and heavy-duty applications. For most situations light and strong acrylic panels, with single, double or triple glazing provide the perfect finish.
King’s Lynn Fire station has eight appliances and six bays. Each bay has opposing doors for entry and exit and the new doors are at the entry side of the bay providing daylight for the garage and a view over the exercise yard. Metal components are finished in Poppy red and the concentration of clear panels avoids the heavy appearance often created by a bank of solid doors. |
