Keeping Your Doors Crumple Free

Supplying new panels to replace those damaged by vehicles is a large part of our business.

If we knew what was good for us we would keep quiet about the following. For door protection and safety we offer a range of bollards and wheel guides to help avoid panel damage by vehicles.

Both bollards and wheel guards are heavy-duty products designed to take repeated knocks and abuse. Bollards come in two diameters: 127 mm (5 inch) made from 5 mm thickness tube and also 168 mm (6.5 inch) made 7.5mm thickness tube.

Either size can be ordered with a root for setting into concrete or plate mounted for bolting to a prepared foundation.

Wheel guides are the ideal protection for loading bays where off-line trucks can damage the door or adjoining walls.

Again these can be cast-in or bolt-down. Curved or straight versions are available in various heights according to the type of vehicle using the bay.

Users can have bollards or wheel guides finished in canary yellow polyester powder coat – a durable finish that has high visibility, or in galvanised finish.

These products can be installed as original equipment or retro-fitted where repeat damage is a problem.

Stertil - A Long Term Technical Partnership

Mike Bunn of Stertil UK, the loading bay specialist, tells us that Indupart doors are at the heart of the Stertil Stokvis loading bay package.

The business relationship goes back nine years, with the supply of roller shutters, fire shutters and sectional doors.

Stertil are at the heart of the logistics industry. Based in Northampton, a major logistics hub in its own right, the company is well placed to access the major industrial centres of the UK and Ireland

They specialise in providing a complete technical solution for loading bays including doors, side curtains, dock levellers, vehicle guides and all the necessary hardware.

TOTAL PACKAGE

“Efficient loading bays are critical to the logistics industry and we have developed special solutions for many leading retailers and their logistics partners,” Mike explained.

Stertil offer a total package from consultation and advice to develop the most safe and efficient solution for each application through to engineering and installation. All this is backed by whole life support – including 24/7 callout.

“The endurance of the relationship reflects the fact that Indupart are receptive to our input.

This helps us to better serve our customers,” Mike added. The inset picture at Yorkshire Tea shows a typical installation.

Here vehicles can be processed with safety and speed, loading operations are protected from the weather and the energy efficiency and security of the building is safeguarded.
